To contact us about setting up a tour, please call Erin Fair at (303) 697-3466 x11 or email tours@dinoridge.org When: Tours are offered year-round, weather permitting. Guided tours are available during the week with advance reservations. Please call (303) 697-3466 or email tours@dinoridge.org to arrange guided tours during the week. How: Call (303) 697-3466 to arrange for guided tour. Call two weeks in advance or earlier to check available dates. From March thru October, call earlier (1-2 months in advance) as many dates and times fill up quickly. Length of tour: Most tours take between 1½ to 2 hours. Start times are flexible, and set on arrangement. When planning transportation, keep in mind the travel time from your site to ours and remember to plan time for the restroom. How many: We accommodate groups of any size. However, groups of fewer than 100 people work best. With at least 50 days notice, groups of more than 250 can request to close the highway over the ridge. Additional fees will apply to groups requesting road closures. Please call (303) 697-3466 x.11 for more information on scheduling a road closure for your tour group. Fees: A non-refundable deposit is required for all tours. Deposits are required one week prior to tour date. The remaining balance is to be paid at the time of the tour. Groups may pre-pay for their entire tour by using either a MasterCard or Visa. Ask about this option when calling to arrange your tour. Academic School Groups: $24.00 deposit (covers 1-12 people). For each additional student, the price is $2.00. General Guided Tours (Public, Day Care Facilities, Scouts, etc.): $36 deposit (covers 1-12 people). For each additional person (over the age of 3), the price is $3.00. Cancellations, Refunds, and Rescheduling: Cancellation Policy: Cancellations should be made as soon as you are aware that you cannot visit us. Deposits are refunded in the event of a cancellation due to inclement weather or when a cancellation is made at least two days prior to the scheduled tour date. Cancellations (including no-shows) made after this time forego a refund of the tour deposit. Dinosaur Ridge tour guides are enthusiastic and motivated volunteers, please respect their generous contribution of time when making a decision to not show up for a scheduled tour. Volunteer guides are free to leave if a tour group has not arrived within 20 minutes of their scheduled start time, at which point the tour will be considered a "no-show" - if you think you will not make your scheduled start time, please call the Visitor Center at (303) 697-3466 and let the operator know that you are on your way. Remember - Be sure that you have directions to our site, that you pass along important information to those participating in the tour, and that you arrive on time for your tour...this is your responsibility. Other Information: Please do not confuse our location with the Interstate 70 roadcut (about 5 minutes north of Dinosaur Ridge) or the Morrison Natural History Museum (about 10 minutes south-west of Dinosaur Ridge). The Morrison Natural History Museum is a separate entity requiring separate payment for tours and visitations, to make arrangements with the Morrison Natural History Museum, please call (303) 697-1873 or email museum@town.morrison.co.us. If you plan to eat lunch here, there are 6 picnic tables available on-site on a first come, first served basis. 3 picnic tables are in the shade of a large tree on the west side of the Visitor Center and 3 picnic tables are under the shade of a screen on the north side (back) of the Visitor Center.
