Directions to the Triceratops Trail at the Parfet Prehistoric Preserve from Dinosaur Ridge

From the Friends of Dinosaur Ridge Visitor Center, turn right onto West Alameda Parkway and follow the road up and over Dinosaur Ridge.  On the west side of the Ridge, merge onto north-bound Jefferson County 93.  Follow the road under the I-70 interchange and downhill past Heritage Square.

Turn left onto Heritage Road.  You will go through a tight right curve then continue following Heritage Road north.  Turn left at the stoplight at 6th Avenue.

Follow 6th Avenue as it veers north towards the City of Golden.  Turn right onto 19th Street.

Parking is available in the lot on the south-east corner of the intersection of 6th Avenue and 19th street (just before the Stevinson Golden Ford dealership).  From the parking area, you must follow the concrete bike path that parallels 6th Avenue for approximately 1/4 mile before reaching the trailhead for the Triceratops Trail.

Walk towards 6th Avenue until you encounter the bike path, then turn left (south) and follow the path through the wooded area.  You'll see the trailhead for the Triceratops Trail on your left as you climb the hill from the wooded area.
