Dinosaur Ridge Calendar Photo Contest
Feb 1st-August 1st 2012
Dinosaur Ridge is going to do a 2013 twelve-month calendar, and we would like you to submit photographs for this project!
Range: Please limit your photographs to the Morrison and Golden Fossil Areas. Photos can be of landscapes, geology, paleontology, plants or animals, in color or black and white. Please send us your FINAL version of a photograph after you have edited it to your wishes. To see a map of the Morrison/Golden Fossil Areas Natural National Landmark: (link to About Us > Discoveries
Parameters: For submitting your photos, please follow these rules:
- Landscape orientation only
- JPEGs only, no RAW images
- Use the highest resolution option on camera
- File Size 2.5MB or larger, nothing smaller
- Within the boundaries of the Morrison & Golden Fossil Areas
- No people in the photos
- No more than two images per person

A permission form will be sent to the winning photographers by August 10th.

Dinosaur Detectives Day 1
For grades 3-5
Come to the Dinosaur Ridge Visitor Center for a fun-filled day of exploration! Starting at 9AM and ending at 1PM, children will learn about geologic time and Colorado’s changing landscapes with a series of hands-on activities. This half-day event will use the Dinosaur Ridge Van to go to Red Rocks Park and up the hill on the Ridge to study the layers of rock and see how life changed over time.

Single Day Fee: $15 for non-members, $10 for members
Two-Day Fee: $25 for non-members, $20 for members |

Dinosaur Detectives Day 2

This half-day event will use the Dinosaur Ridge Van to go up the hill on the Ridge to measure footprints, replicate behavior, and study the fossil bones of Colorado’s giant dinosaurs.
