Getting to the Ridge

Getting to the Ridge

From the North
Take C-470 south to the new Alameda exit.  Exiting on the ramp, take a right at the interchange.  The Visitor's Center will be on the right.

From the South
Take C-470 north to the new Alameda exit.  Exiting on the ramp, take a left at the interchange.  The Visitor's Center will be on the right after you cross over C-470.

Route from the West/North
Another way from the North - through Golden is to take Rooney Road south from Colfax down to Alameda Parkway and then turn left.  The Visitor's Center will be on the left.
 

Route from the East
Take West Alameda Parkway from Lakewood east across C-470.  The Visitor's Center will be on the right.

Note
Access to the stretch of road (Alameda Parkway) over the ridge has been permanently restricted to emergency vehicles, bicycles, and hikers.  You can no longer get to the Visitor's Center from the Red Rocks side of the ridge by car.
