Friday, May 26 through Sunday, May 28, 2017 (complete)
The Friends of Dinosaur Ridge hosted an amazing weekend excursion on May 26-28, 2017. 16 participants visited the Ancient Lake Fossils private, commercial quarry in the Green River Formation near Fossil Butte National Monument in Kemmerer, Wyoming. During this trip the group dug in Ancient Lakes Fossils’ active split-fish quarry and every attendee had at least one epic find! Friday evening’s speaker was Arvid Aase (Fossil Butte National Monument, National Park Service). Saturday evening featured guest speakers: Ancient Lake Fossils Inc. quarry owner Adam Lindgren, quarry staff Dain Hanson, and Dinosaur Ridge staff Blake Sullivan.
